Say hello to the newest addition to the Avionaut family – the Stardust!

In early April, I travelled to Poland to visit Avionaut and to check out its latest innovations—and let me tell you, there’s some seriously impressive stuff on the horizon.

One standout? The brand-new Avionaut Stardust, launching this summer. This exciting new seat has been designed with families in mind, offering a thoughtful blend of safety, comfort, and convenience in one sleek, modern package.

The Stardust is an ISOFIX-installed swivel seat, making it easy to get your child in and out of the car—something every parent can appreciate during the morning rush or after a long day.

But where the Stardust really shines is its incredible longevity. It can be used rear-facing up to 125cm or 21kg, which is around 5 years of age. Extended rear-facing is widely recognised as the safest way for young children to travel, so this feature alone is a huge win. Please note that Car Seat Ninja always recommends that your child stays rear-facing for as long as possible - ideally up to 125cm (weight limit allowing) - for maximum safety.

Beyond 105cm, rear-facing use can continue as long as your child remains under 21kg. (Just to clarify: only the rear-facing-only version of the Stardust is Plus Tested—swivel versions that allow forward-facing are not.)

Then, when your little one is ready, the Stardust transforms into a high-back booster seat, suitable all the way up to 150cm. That means one seat can take your child from toddlerhood through to the very end of their car seat journey—a truly future-proof solution.

There will be two versions available:

  • Rear-facing only seat with 180 degree rotation, plus tested to 105cm - no possibility to ever go forward-facing.
    • Suitable from 61-125cm/21kg (Rear-facing)with integral 5-point harness
    • With additional approved insert - 40-125cm/21kg (Rear-facing) with integral 5-point harness
  • 360 degree rotation seat allowing both rear and forward-facing, therefore not plus tested.
    • Suitable from 61-125cm/21kg (Rear-facing) with integral 5-point harness
    • With additional approved insert - 40-125cm/21kg (Rear-facing) with integral 5-point harness
    • Suitable from 76-105cm/21kg (Forward-facing) with integral 5-point harness
    • Suitable from 105-150cm (Forward-facing) with 3-point belt (installation with or without ISOFIX)

The seat also offers 4 recline positions when rear-facing and 3 recline positions when forward-facing, giving families flexibility to adapt to their child’s comfort and needs. There is also an option to add a canopy using the integrated slots at the top of the shell.

What’s more, it looks and feels just as premium as you’d expect from Avionaut. From what I’ve seen so far, the materials, build quality, and overall finish are as impressive as the seat’s versatility. This is a car seat designed to meet the real needs of growing families— especially those with multiple cars and would be a handy additional seat for grandparents and other caregivers.

I'll be sharing more updates soon, so watch this space for a deeper look into the features, functions, and availability of the Avionaut Stardust.
