Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 C vs. Avionaut Cosmo 2.0: Which Infant Car Seat is Right for You?

Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 C vs. Avionaut Cosmo 2.0: Which Infant Car Seat is Right for You?

The Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 C and the Avionaut Cosmo 2.0 are both designed to provide safety and comfort for infants from birth up to approximately 15 months (40-86/87cm and 0-13 kg). While they share a commitment to quality, there are a few differences between the two models.

Weight and Portability:

  • Pixel Pro 2.0 C: An improved version of the Pixel model, it maintains its lightweight design, and is the lightest car seat on the market - weighing just 2.5kg.
  • Cosmo 2.0: Is comfortable to use, and is also light weight, weighing just 3.2kg.

Design and Comfort:

  • Pixel Pro 2.0 C:  Thanks to a series of modular inserts designed with the contribution of physicians and physiotherapists, it ensures the correct positioning of the child. As the harness is in a fixed position, you're able to use the inserts to achieve the optimum support and tailor to your child. The insert features the Cloud Care system, designed using memory foam, which precisely adapts to the child's body for complete comfort and, in the event of a crash, will cushion the force of the impact.
  • Cosmo 2.0: The insert in this car seat was created in collaboration with specialists in paediatric physiotherapy. Thanks to this, the Cosmo 2.0 takes care of the baby's back and ensures the healthy development of their spine. 3 harness positions allow you to raise the harness height as baby grows and as you need to remove the inserts.

Installation and Compatibility:

  • Pixel Pro 2.0 C: Compatible with the Avionaut Isofix Orbit 2.0 C base which offers rotation towards the door for easy access, and the Avionaut Isofix Dock 2 base. The seat can also be mounted using seat belts.
  • Cosmo 2.0: Also Compatible with the Avionaut Isofix Dock 2 base. The seat can be mounted using seat belts too.

Additional Features:

  • Pixel Pro 2.0 C: Retains the same lightness as its predecessor while offering improved softness for enhanced baby comfort. It is ideally suited for smaller than average babies, making it a popular choice for premature babies or multiples. Fitting babies from around 1.3kg comfortably, the inserts keep the back straight and airways open.
  • Cosmo 2.0: Features an independent, air-permeable canopy made of fabric with a UV filter, providing additional protection from sun rays. Fitting babies from around 2.5kg upwards, this is a great option and again, although fewer inserts, offers great support avoiding baby's chin dropping to their chest.

Conclusion:

Both the Avionaut Pixel Pro 2.0 C and Avionaut Cosmo 2.0 are excellent choices for infant car seats, prioritising safety, comfort, and ease of use. The Pixel Pro 2.0 C focuses on maintaining a lightweight design with enhanced softness, while the Cosmo 2.0 emphasises everyday functionality and ease of cleaning.

Both seats can be used with a wide range of pushchair systems using adapters making them an excellent companion for those times when you need to utilise a travel system.
