TRIPLE-LAYER SAFETY FROM BIRTH

The BeSafe iZi Twist B i-Size is a rotation seat that is equipped with 3 layers of safety for newborns: » built-in SIP (Side Impact Protection) in the seat shell » SIP+ (addtl. Side Impact Protection) that can be attached to either side of the seat » baby insert called BeSafe Baby Shell™ What is special about the Baby Shell™ is that it is not just cushions added to a toddler seat, but is a whole own unit inside the seat that truly resembles the protection and position of a baby car seat. This makes the iZi Twist B i-Size a baby and toddler seat in one and allows you to use it from birth on up to 105 cm/max. 18 kg, which is approx. 4 years. The iZi Twist B i-Size embodies BeSafe’s vision of rear facing travel by being rear facing only and allows your child to travel 5x safer rear facing up to 105 cm/max. 18 kg. It is approved to the latest safety regulation UN R129 (i-Size) and has passed the world’s toughest crash test: the Swedish Plus Test.

STATE-OF-THE-ART FUNCTIONALITY FOR EASY EVERYDAY USE

The BeSafe iZi Twist B i-Size has a userfriendly design that take the stress out of travel. It features convenient side-toside rotation that is easy to operate and provides easy, front-on access when getting your child in and out of the car, which also makes it easy for you to buckle up your child. The headrest and belts are adjustable with a simple, single-action functionality and the BeSafe Magnetic Belt Assistants™ make it easy to get your child in and out of the seat without the belts getting in the way. Optical and audio indicators provide instant installation feedback to ensure accurate seat positioning every time. For added convenience, the recline feature is adjustable even after the seat is installed.

INDIVIDUALISED COMFORT

The BeSafe iZi Twist B i-Size offers a special installation function that has never been seen among toddler seats: the Universal Level Technology™. In this special seat-and-base-design, the seat is embedded into the base in an angle, which allows you to install the base always at 20°. This is perfect for when your car has sloping vehicle seats in the back where your child’s head might otherwise tip forward when sitting rear facing. For an even better sitting angle for newborns, the iZi Twist B i-Size is equipped with the Newborn Hugger™, which features a cleverly placed wedge all along the baby’s back, allowing them to lie 10° flatter than without. The Newborn Hugger™ also has soft yet supportive materials on the side of the baby - both in the back and in the bottom - to give extra side stability. To grow with your child, the headrest can be moved upwards in 10 steps and you can easily remove the Newborn Hugger™ and Baby Shell™ to give your child as much space as needed. For flexible comfort, the iZi Twist B i-Size has 4 recline positions that you can easily change with one hand and a ventilation system structure in the back to reduce sweating on warm days.

Extended Rear Facing

Extended rear facing (ERF) car seats are becoming more popular after the safety benefits were realised in Sweden by child safety experts to keep children travelling as safely as possible on the road and from that developed the Swedish Plus Test which subjects seats entered for the test through harsher crash testing than standardised testing does.  Newborn car seats are always rear facing and there’s no reason to change that for the toddler stage. Rear facing child seats are safer and more comfortable than forward facing equivalents and all car seat suppliers have ERF options to choose from within their ranges.

Children should be rear facing for as long as possible and the best type of seat will be the one most suited to their weight and height so it will vary from child to child. Seeking the advice from a car seat specialist to check it fits your car and child will ensure you get the safest seat and get best value for money to ensure your child can stay rear facing from ages birth to 6 (approx).
